Adhatoda beddomei is a perennial shrub species of the medicinal plant Adhatoda
Habit: shrub
Stem: Erect, branched, cylindrical, and solid
Root: Taproot system with a primary root that extends deep into the soil, branching out into secondary and tertiary roots;
Leaves: Oppositely arranged, lanceolate, simple, smooth-edged and have short petioles. When dry, the leaves turn a dull brownish-green color.
Flowers: White and have large, dense, axillary spikes.
Fruit: Four seeded capsules with a solid base
Seed: Glabrous
Medicinal properties

• Antibacterial: Alkaloids in this plant have antibacterial activity against bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Staph epidermidis, and E. coli.
