Sree Ayyappa College for Women is an educational institution with Linguistic Minority status. Minority Cell of the Institution was established with the purpose of empowering the students of the socioeconomic and linguistic minority communities of the institution. The minority cell has been very keen to provide services to the educational and cultural needs of the minority community along with other caste, creed, and Nationality. The cell is actively engaged in coordinating and resolving the problems of minority students intending to see that the education system succeeds in bringing to a level quantitatively as well as qualitatively indistinguishable from the level of the rest of the society.
The Minority Cell is constituted with the following members:

To ensure equal opportunities for the education of minorities
To facilitate financial support to students from these communities from governmental agencies and other sources
To make the minority students aware of the various scholarship schemes of the Central and State Governments.
To function as a Grievances Redressal Cell to address the grievances of minority students
and to render necessary help in solving academic as well as administrative problems.
To arrange special opportunities to enhance the career growth of the students.
To conduct the programme for disseminating the scholarship schemes provided by governmental agencies and other sources.
