RTI

The Right to Information Act which came into force w.e.f 15th June 2005 was enacted by Parliament and notified by the Government of India to protect and practically implement the rights of citizens to gather information from government bodies. Sree Ayyappa College for Women, Chunkankadai, Nagercoil is a government-aided college affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. The college follows the rules and regulations issued by the Higher Education Department under the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. 

The institution has a Managing Board and other statutory and non-statutory bodies. The college comes under the purview of section 4(1)(b) of the RTI ACT 2005 and all information about the college under this section is open for public scrutiny and any citizen can have access to it anytime. 

Citizens can either send or directly hand over written applications under the RTI Act (with name, address, contact number, and particulars of the information) to the Public Information Officer, Sree Ayyappa College for Women, Chunkankadai.
