Geneva Convention

The activities of the academic year, 2017-18 of the Youth Red Cross of our college was started with the Geneva Convention Day and International Youth Day Celebrations on 9-8-2017.

Cultural events that showcased the importance of maintaining world peace and a Seminar were organized in the campus in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Kanniyakumari Branch.

The programme was inaugurated by the District Collector; Sh. Sajjansingh R. Chavan I.A.S. Keynote address was given by the Additional Collector Sh. A. R. Rahul Nadh, I.A.S. The hon. Collector released a Dove, the symbol of peace. Tmt. R. Janaki, RDO of Nagercoil, felicitated,

The students presented various cultural events that highlighted the importance of Geneva Convention and the need for world peace.

This was followed by the Technical sessions. Mr. A Suresh Kumar, State Disaster Response Team member, Tamilnadu Branch and Managing Committee member, IRCS; Mr. Y. Davidson, District Project Officer (CBDRM), DRDA, Nagercoil and Managing Committee member, IRCS and Ms. Savitha A.R. Chairperson YRC Sub-Committee, IRCS, KKDB were the resource persons.

In the valedictory session, Dr. S. Suresh, Joint Director / Project Director of the TNSLRAM addressed the students and distributed the certificates to the participants
