The Right to Information Act which came into force w.e.f 15th June 2005 is enacted by Parliament and notified by the Government of India to protect and practically implement the rights of citizens to gather information from government bodies. Sree Ayyappa College for Women, Chunkankadai, Nagercoil is a government-aided college affiliated under Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. The college follows the rules and regulations issued by the Higher Education Department under the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.
