UBA

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Launched in 2014, the program aims to connect higher education institutions with local communities to address development challenges through appropriate technologies. The goal is to contribute to rural development while providing students with opportunities to gain exposure and experience in rural settings.. The initiative promotes the concept of “knowledge exchange” between academic institutions and rural communities by participating institutions, including colleges, collaborate with villages to assess needs and work on sustainable solutions for their socio-economic progress.

Vision

The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) envisions a transformed rural India, where sustainable development is realized through the active engagement and collaboration of academic institutions with rural communities.
