Plant Description: A viscid pubescent subshrubs up to 75 cm tall. Leaves 3-foliolate; terminal leaflet ovate-rhomboid, laterals obliquely ovate, base cuneate. Flowers in axillary or terminal often branched racemes, bracts and bracteoles 4-5 mm long, subulate, hairy. Corolla purple in colour. Pods linear-oblong, compressed, pubescent with hooked hairs
Uses:
Used to treat asthma, tuberculosis, helminthiasis, dyspepsia, diarrhea, neurasthenia, diabetes, cardiopathy, and hyperthermia
Antimicrobial: Extracts from the leaves, root, stem, and callus of it have shown significant inhibitory activity against some fungal pathogens
Antihyperglycemic: The aqueous root extract may have antihyperglycemic activity
Antioxidant: The stem and root extracts of it have antioxidant activity.
