Botanical Description:
• Plant Type: Bacopa monnieri is a perennial herb, typically growing in moist and marshy environments, often along the banks of rivers, ponds, and wetlands.
• Stem: The plant has creeping stems that spread along the ground, with fleshy, succulent leaves. The leaves are opposite, oval-shaped, and have smooth margins. The plant can grow up to 30–60 cm (1–2 feet) in length.
• Flowers: The flowers are small, light blue, and tubular in shape, and they bloom in axillary clusters. These flowers appear during the warmer months of the year.
• Roots: Bacopa monnieri has shallow roots that allow it to grow in wet, marshy environments.
